The 2019 Wachenheimer Mandelgarten Weißburgunder trocken is an expressive, elegant Pinot Blanc from a renowned single vineyard in the Palatinate. The grapes come from the Mandelgarten, a sun-drenched vineyard with sandy loam soil, which imparts a delicate fruitiness and clear structure to the grape variety. The winemaking process includes spontaneous fermentation and partial maceration, which gives the wine additional aromatic depth and complexity.
This selection from the world-renowned Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard exemplifies the Mosel's great sweet wine tradition. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe peach, apricot, and mirabelle plum, complemented by delicate notes of honey, blossoms, and citrus. On the palate, the wine is juicy and concentrated, with a harmoniously integrated sweetness perfectly balanced by a lively, precise acidity. The characteristic slate minerality lends the wine depth, elegance, and a long, clean finish. An expressive Riesling with excellent aging potential.
This wine is the result of the friendship between Erni Loosen and Telmo Rodríguez. Based on their curiosity and respect for each other's wine culture, this wine was created.
In winemaking, old practices that were practiced on the Moselle 100 years ago and were then described as "purely natural" have been revived.
However, Telmo encouraged Erni to do things differently: The wine was fermented on the skins in the tradition of natural/orange wines. After fermentation, it remained on the skins for maceration for several months and was then gently pressed in a basket press before being transferred with the lees into a traditional oak barrel, in which one of Telmo's best Rioja wines had already been produced.
The wine remained in the barrel on the lees for two years, only topped up, without any bâtonnage.
After bottling, the wine matured for another two years in the bottle before being released to the market.
This wine combines the “memory” of Spain and the tradition of Germany.

Der Spätburgunder Essig Balsamico verbindet die aromatische Tiefe des Spätburgunders mit der natürlichen Süße eines schonend reduzierten Mostes und einer milden Säure, die ihm seine charakteristische Rundung verleiht. Durch die langsame, bis zu zwölf Monate dauernde zweite Fermentation sowie die Reifung im Barrique entsteht ein dichter, harmonischer Balsamico mit weicher Textur und subtilen Holznoten. Sein ausgewogener Geschmack mit feiner Süße und eleganter Weinsäure macht ihn zu einer edlen Ergänzung für raffinierte Dressings, Desserts und Spezialitäten der gehobenen Küche.
Der Grundwein all unserer Spätburgunder-Essige stammt aus unserem Weingut Villa Wolf und lag 24 Monate im Barrique. Dieser Weinessig, dessen Charakter vom Ausgangswein geprägt ist, präsentiert sich sehr fein sowie strukturiert und entsteht durch eine zweimonatige natürliche Veressigung mit ausgewählten Essigbakterien. Seine klare, durchgegorene Stilistik und die feine Säure verleiht ihm eine elegante Frische, während dezente Restnoten des Spätburgunders für eine weinige Tiefe sorgen. Durch die anschließende kurze Reife im Holzfass gewinnt der Essig zusätzliche Komplexität und eine harmonische Balance, die ihn besonders vielseitig in der gehobenen Küche einsetzbar macht.
Der Spätburgunder Grand Balsamico entsteht durch eine besonders lange Reifephase im Barrique, in der sich die natürliche Süße des Mostes, die Tiefe des Spätburgunders und die Konzentration der Essigmutter zu einem außergewöhnlich dichten und komplexen Balsamico verdichten. Mit seiner samtigen Textur, den vielschichtigen Aromen von reifen Beeren, Holz und feiner Säure präsentiert er sich als Premium-Produkt mit großer geschmacklicher Eleganz. Dieser Grand Balsamico eignet sich ideal für die gehobene Feinschmeckerküche – von edlen Vorspeisen über Fleisch- und Käsekreationen bis hin zu süßen Akzenten in Desserts.
Bright red and incredibly steep, the Ürziger Würzgarten vineyard forms a unique amphitheater of Rotliegend (red volcanic rock). It produces a completely different kind of great Riesling, full of exotic, spicy aromas and great depth. In some years, you can taste anise and even a hint of Gewürztraminer.
Wines from the Domprobst vineyard are rich in extract and structured, characterized by the rich, deep slate weathering soils of this top southwest-facing site on the outskirts of Graach.
The "Lay" (an old term for slate) is a gently sloping hillside on the outskirts of Bernkastel, curving towards the Moselle River. The weathered slate soil produces full-bodied, intensely mineral wines, often with notes of green apple, white peach, and sometimes cassis.

A timeless expression of terroir and elegance. From the heart of Burgundy's revered Côte des Blancs comes the Meursault Premier Cru les Perrières, capturing the essence of this exceptional region. Meursault, nestled between the renowned villages of Puligny-Montrachet and Beaune, is world-famous for its exceptional white wines, with Perrières being among its most coveted Premier Cru vineyards. The name "Perrières" derives from the Latin "petrarium," meaning "quarry," aptly reflecting the vineyard's stark, rocky soils, rich in white limestone, which impart a distinctive minerality to this Chardonnay.

The Edition Perron de Mypont Meursault is a blend of grapes from various parcels in the southern part of the appellation, near our headquarters in Puligny-Montrachet. These parcels lie in and around the rocky slope of Les Narvaux, a highly regarded Climat located west of and slightly above the Premier Cru vineyard Les Genevrières. This prestigious village in the southern Côte d'Or is known for its hard, white limestone soil, which imparts a vibrant energy and a fine mineral structure to the Chardonnay. The wine has a classic green-gold color, ripe fruit and floral aromas, and a full, fleshy texture held together by a fiery note.

A lively and refreshing white wine that embodies the rich heritage of Burgundy's terroir. Our Aligoté comes from various limestone vineyards throughout Burgundy and is fermented with natural yeasts in large 1,000-liter casks. It then ages in the cask on its lees to impart depth, richness, and structure. This wine is bright, with a pale golden color and an expressive aroma profile of delicate white flowers such as jasmine, paired with notes of yellow fruits, nectarine, and citrus peel. Pioneer of the rediscovered German Riesling culture
In family ownership for over 200 years, the estate has been led by Ernst F. Loosen since 1988. In his view, great wines are the perfect expression of soil, climate, and grape variety.
With the heritage of his ancestors – own-rooted, old vines in historic Grosse Lagen of the Central Mosel – he found exactly the material needed to craft distinctive, complex wines of world-class caliber. Today, Dr. Loosen is internationally recognized as the flagship of a rediscovered German Riesling culture.
Since 1993, the winery has been a member of the VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).

OUR VINEYARDS
In the 1868 vineyard map of the Trier administrative district, created as a basis for tax assessment for Mosel estates, nine of our vineyards were designated as Grosse Lagen.
This classification is comparable to the Grand Cru system of Burgundy and was updated in 1995 by Stuart Pigott and Hugh Johnson in their German Wine Atlas. Today, we deliberately draw on this historically proven, cultural classification.
Since 1988, we have bottled exclusively Rieslings from these classified Grosse Lagen as single-vineyard wines, while all other wines are released by us as Gutsriesling.
