An intense yet beautifully balanced Pinot Noir that captures the complex character of this historic village. This wine is a blend of two parcels: one in the Premier Cru Les Crâs and the other in the Premier Cru Les Petits Vougeots. These two vineyards are situated between the north face of the famous Clos de Vougeot and the neighboring village of Chambolle-Musigny. The lower-lying Les Crâs vineyard lends the wine depth and firm structure, while the highly calcareous soil of Les Petits Vougeots imparts the elegance and finesse typical of Chambolle. The wine has a deep red color and a lovely aroma of cherries and blackcurrants with a floral note of violets. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, with a long and lingering finish.
